Maryland Elections Administrator Jared DeMarinis is happy with the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision regarding the counting of mail-in ballots. On Monday, the Court upheld the law that allows states to count mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day even if they are received late. DeMarinis says the ruling is a win for Maryland mail-in voters. He says the decision prevents potential disenfranchisement in federal elections.
