TWO HURT IN ROUTE 51 CRASH

Two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and tractor trailer on route 51 near Paw Paw Monday morning, just before 9:20 a.m. A tractor-trailer, hauling logs, and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. West Virginia units were on the scene, along with the Maryland State Police Trooper Five helicopter. One patient was transported. The Allegany County Special Operations Hazardous Materials Team was requested. Route 51 was closed in both directions for a time. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
