MOTORCYCLIST FLOWN TO SHOCK TRAUMA UNIT

A motorcyclist was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, following a multi-vehicle crash on Route 51, just outside of Oldtown. A tractor-trailer driver was taken to UPMC-Western Maryland. Route 51 was closed in both directions for accident reconstruction, and as has been reported, the Maryland State Police and Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. The State Police are handling the investigation.
