DRIVER IN FATAL CRASH MAY HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP

Toledo, Ohio resident Rodney Schafer has reportedly told authorities he may have fallen asleep, causing an accident that left a 10-year-old girl dead in Hampshire County early Saturday. Schaefer told authorities he left Ohio on Friday, and was traveling to Virginia Beach with his four children. His two daughters were laying down and sleeping and not secured by seat belts. A 6-year-old boy was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital, while a 15-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were taken to Winchester Medical Center for treatment. The identity of the juvenile victim will not be released.
