FIRE CAUSES $100,000 IN DAMAGE

A fire early this morning caused a total of $100,000 in damage to a two-story Max Hill Road home in Mount Savage. Nobody was home at the time of the 2:15 a.m. fire, which displaced to residents; there had been initial reports of entrapment, but that wasn’t the case. The fire was discovered by a neighbor, and it took about 30-minutes to control it; the Mount Savage Volunteer Fire Department responded. The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating, and the family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
