SEARCH ON FOR MISSING WOMAN IN POTOMAC RIVER

The search is continuing for a missing woman in the Potomac River at the Wapacoma Campground in Hampshire County. She was reported missing about 2 p.m. Monday along the South Branch of the Potomac River, about five miles south of Romney. Two children were swimming with their mother, when the water overtook them. Their mother was an experienced swimmer. A dive team was also on the scene, and crews are searching an approximate four-mile area. There have been drownings in the area over the years, but not at that particular particular campground.
