Potomac Edison is proposing a rate increase for its Maryland customers that would raise the average residential bill by about 5.3-per cent. According to the Cumberland Times-News, the proposed $52.8 million adjustment would support, quote, “continued investment in the electric system,” including upgrades to aging infrastructure, grid modernization, and projects designed to strengthen reliability.
