FIVE ARRESTED IN CHILD NEGLECT INVESTIGATION

Five people were arrested in connection to a child neglect investigation in Garrett County. Taken into custody were 42-year-old Carl Michael Moats, Christina Lynn Moats, John Patrick Sheckels, 27-year old John Patrick Sheckels, Chrystal Joy Sheckels. All five were taken to the Garrett County Detention Center, and three minor children were placed in the care and custody of the Department of Social Services.
