BEDFORD COUNTY MOTHER ARRESTED IN ABUSE CASE

Eighteen-year-old Liberti Johns of Roaring Spring has been arrested, after she allegedly admitted to injuring a 3-month-old girl, resulting in the infant being hospitalized with three fractured ribs. She is accused of “aggressively” grabbing the child out of her swing, after becoming frustrated over what time the baby woke up. The child was taken to the hospital, with Johns trying to prevent the child from being transferred to UPMC-Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. Drug paraphernalia was allegedly found near the baby’s swing and bottles. She is currently being housed at the Bedford County Jail, with bail set at $400,000.
