Randi Newlin, the former treasurer of the North Star Band Boosters, will be on house arrest in connection to the theft of thousands of dollars from the school club. She was charged nearly three years ago, with investigators estimating she stole at least $2,000 from the club during her time as treasurer. She had entered a guilty plea; Ms. Newlin was also sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay more than $15,000 in restitution.
