MORGAN COUNTY DEPUTY CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC BATTERY

Morgan County, West Virginia Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher Roper was arrested yesterday morning, and has been charged with domestic battery. He has been placed on administrative leave, and was in custody on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. He pleaded not guilty during yesterday’s arraignment, and the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has asked for a special prosecutor in the case.
