A new UMBC poll finds a majority of likely voters do not support ballot Question Three, which would make it easier for Maryland lawmakers to redraw congressional districts in the future. According to the poll, 53-percent of those surveyed oppose the constitutional amendment, 25-percent support it and 19-percent remain undecided. The amendment would clarify that certain constitutional standards for redistricting apply only to state legislative maps and not congressional districts. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s Institute of Politics survey of 776 likely voters was conducted from September 22nd through the 27th and the margin of error is three-point-five-percent.
