Eighty-three-year-old Ellen Nestor was found safe about five miles from her Southampton Township home in Bedford County. She was last seen on Wednesday, and was found in the southern part of the county, near the Maryland state line. The search was assisted by the Maryland State Police helicopter, Trooper Five. She suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia. Following her recovery, she was taken to UPMC-Western Maryland for evaluation. Also assisting in the operation was the Mountain Maryland Search and Rescue, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police.
