Governor Patrick Morrisey says West Virginia will compete for the new federal Space Academy. The school would train people for the U.S. Space Force, NASA, and the commercial spaceflight industry. Ohio is among the states also bidding, along with Alabama, Florida, Texas, Nevada and Louisiana. Proposals are due by 6 p.m. October 26th. A presidential commission will send its recommendations to the president by late December.
