Shay Mooney says that Dan + Shay are making an effort to write songs that AI can’t duplicate. “We’re living in a world of AI, and AI can spit out a song that sounds really catchy. What do we have that is unique, that’s different than anybody else? The only answer for us right now is, let’s just talk about our lives. Let’s be vulnerable and authentic, let’s find a way to say things in a way that only we can say them. That’s something that AI can’t replicate: the human spirit.“
