HIKER DIES IN TUCKER COUNTY

The body of University of Cincinnati student Thomas Donnelly was recovered Monday in Tucker County. Donnelly was with other members of the University of Cincinnati Mountaineering Club and had been hiking since last Friday. They were trying to cross the creek in the Red Creek Trail and Fisher Springs Trail Sunday afternoon, when they encountered high water and swift currents from heavy rain. Donnelly lost his footing and became separated from the group. A search began on Sunday, but was suspended because of darkness. His body was found around 2 p.m. Monday.
