Contractors across West Virginia are working to keep up with demand for federal home energy rebates. The state has 88-million-dollars in rebate funding, and qualifying homeowners can receive up to 34-thousand-dollars in upgrades. Those upgrades can include insulation, heating and cooling systems, and modern appliances. About 122 people are enrolled in the state’s contractor training program, which takes eight months. Officials say the minimum age to start is 17, and homeowners could save 1-thousand to 2-thousand-500-dollars a year.
