The Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine has received a 500-thousand-dollar grant through the Maryland Rural Health Transformation Program. The funding will help to pay for new equipment and technology for the 40-thousand-square-foot simulation center. Meritus says the simulation center features 20 exam rooms designed to mimic real patient visits, four hospital and operating rooms, a virtual reality lab, more than two-thousand-square-feet of hands-on training space and more.
