Penn-Mar Recycling has opened its newly refurbished rail siding, a major infrastructure milestone that reconnects Allegany County to the CSX main line and reactivates a historical rail corridor one used by the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. The launch coincides with Penn-Mar Recycling’s 25th anniversary in Cumberland, marking a quarter-century of service, innovation, and community partnership in Western Maryland.
