PENNSYLVANIA DRIVERS URGED TO WATCH FOR DEER

Pennsylvania drivers are being urged to watch for deer as fall breeding season increases activity. PennDOT says there were over 63-hundred deer-related crashes last year, including the deaths of 11 people. The state Game Commission says deer are especially active around sunrise and sunset. Drivers should slow down, use their headlights and scan both sides of the road. Officials also warn that more deer may follow when one crosses and urge drivers to keep their distance from deer along the roadside.
