WALNUT PLACE WATER LINE REPLACEMENT AND STREET RESTORATION TO CONTINUE

The City of Cumberland advises residents and motorists that work on the Walnut Street water line replacement and street restoration project will continue this week. Work will take place Tuesday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Traffic controls, including intermittent closures, flagging operations, or one-way traffic, will remain in effect as needed while work progresses. Traffic access to the block of Walnut Street between Beall Street and Paca Street will remain available throughout the work. Motorists should use caution and follow posted signs and directions from on-site personnel. Walnut Place between Greene and Paca Street will be closed to through traffic beginning on Wednesday and continue daily until work is completed. The work schedule is weather-dependent and may be adjusted based on field conditions. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these improvements continue.
