Governor Patrick Morrisey announced a 1.3-million-dollar investment in mobile cancer screenings yesterday. The money comes from a Rural Health Transformation Program award. It will replace Bonnie’s Bus, a mobile mammography program run through the WVU Cancer Institute since 2017. The bus has provided more than 40-thousand screenings and identified more than 300 cancer cases. The new bus will include Starlink technology and updated equipment, and will make more than 150 stops a year.
