MORE PARTICIPATE IN EARLY VOTING THAN IN 2022

More residents participated in this year’s Allegany County early voting, which ended last Thursday, than in the 2022 Maryland gubernatorial election. Unofficial numbers, according to the Cumberland Times-News, show nearly 3600 people, which represents just over 8 per cent of eligible local voters, participated in early voting, according to the Deputy Director of Elections, Wendy Maddux. She termed this year’s early voting “successful.”
