NEAR DROWNING INCIDENT INVESTIGATED

An investigation is underway into a near drowning incident near the Shops at Canal Place early this morning. A call came in just after a midnight, reporting that a man was face down in a pool of water, near the intersection of Howard Street and the Interstate 68 ramp. A police officer began CPR, and requested additional help from the fire department and EMS personnel. The victim was transported to UPMC-Western Maryland. His condition and identity are not currently available.
